ID4FEED at RFMF Scientific Conference

ID4FEED present at the 12th RFMF Scientific Conference

The 12th Scientific Conference of RFMF (Réseau francophone de Métabolomique et de Fluxomique, Francophone Network of Metabolomics and Fluxomics) took place in Clermont-Ferrand (France) from May 21st to May 23rd 2019.
Main thematic research areas covered during the 12th RFMF conference has been application of metabolomics and fluxomics in the area of nutrition, health, environment, food product quality, pharmacology/toxicology, biotechnologies and plants.
The 180 s flash presentation made by Inès Remy-Larsonnier, Master 2 student for ID4FEED (here in photo with Camille Rozier, ID4FEED R&D Manager), was focussed on « Comparison of metabolic profiles and antimicrobial properties of chilli-based products (Capsicum) ».
She presented the results of the metabolic profiles (GC-QQQ and UHPLC-DAD-Q-TOF) and antimicrobial properties of the vegetable raw material (chili) and products based on this vegetable matrix. Camille and Inès also presented a poster on this innovative research work.
“Our research aims to characterize very finely the primary and secondary metabolites produced by plants under controlled stress, as well as to characterize the effect of these same metabolites on plant defense mechanisms,” says Camille.
